Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue ellis-taylor, an American screen and stage actor and producer. She is best known as a film actress for her role on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in film, theater, and TV. She started her career acting in the theatre and then went on to appear in many television shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she won critical acclaim as well as various awards and nominations, among them her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995, she was the first to appear as Ariel on stage in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. She is most well-known for her roles in the films Men of Honor and The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In television, her role in the ABC's crime drama High Incident is well known.
