Actor and country-pop singer and song writer Jana Kramer rose to fame through television, where she was part of the team in One Tree Hill as Alex during its last three seasons. The show featured her debut releases as country music, propelling her 2012 debut album on the Billboard 200 to the Top 20. Thirty One (2015), the album that followed it in 2015, also reached in the Top Ten. In the last decade, she was a guest in Dancing with the Stars as well in TV movies and a number of television shows. The singer also released some singles which were not albums. The self-doubting Voices saw release in 2021. Jana Rae Kramer is a Michigan native who was raised on country music. Though she had a recording and acting career, her debut on screen took place in the independent horror film Dead/Undead (2002) while still at high school. Over the years, she appeared on several series, including All My Children and CSI: NY before landing the recurring role as Noelle Davenport in NBC's Friday Night Lights the second season (2007-2008). Kramer appeared in the role of Portia Ranson in 90210 2008-2009 and Brooke Manning on Entourage 2009 before joining the cast of the CW's One Tree Hill as Alex Dupre in the year 2009, where she was on the show until the series' final season in 2012. Jana Kramer Kramer's run on One Tree Hill saw her get a recording contract from Elektra Records. In 2011, she premiered the modern love song from the country genre I Won't Give Up. It later appeared in her full-length debut Jana Kramer in mid-2012. This song landed in the Top Country Albums of Billboard's chart within the Top Five. In the meantime, she focused on her profession in the field of music, Kramer continued acting and appeared in movies like Heart of the Country 2013 (which appealed to her fans) or Country Crush 2016 (which would appeal her music fans). Kramer launched her second album of her own, Thirty One in collaboration with Warner Music Nashville, in October of this year. I Got the Boy (a Top Five country single) as well as Steven Tyler's duet with Aerosmith contributed to the album's ability to get even better reviews which saw it reach the top three place in the Billboard 200. The two-month stint on Dancing with the Stars 23rd episode ended up with her finishing in fourth place. The singer also had an adult contemporary hit in the form of Feels like Christmas which featured Straight No Chaser.
